Palm Greens - flavour forward plant based food

If you’re an East London-based food lover, you may be familiar with purveyors of good mood food, Palm Greens, founded by chef Kali Jago and husband Memby. Based in Netil House for three years until 2023, they attracted a loyal clientele, including Anna Jones, who credits them with a recipe in her book Easy Wins, and Meera Sodha, whom Kali supported in the kitchen at Wilderness Festival this year.

Their style is vibrant, flavoursome plant-based cuisine prioritising seasonal, fresh ingredients. Inspired by their heritage—Kali, Greek, and Memby, Indonesian—extensive travels, passion for herbs and spices, and Kali's professional training at the Gourmet Institute.

We’ve had the pleasure of sampling a full range of their food over the last few months: at Arcade Food Hall, where they operate salad bars; their recent residency at the new dining concept Loop in Leyton; their supper clubs; and as part of their private event work for brands in the sustainable luxury space looking for quality, provenance, and something a bit different.

At every turn, Kali’s food has blown us away with its bold flavours and textures.  You do not need to be vegan or vegetarian to enjoy her cooking.

Front of house, Memby brings the vibes, which make for a unique and memorable experience at their events and residencies. Coming up this autumn, we’re excited to be supporting them at a Supper Club in collaboration with olive oil industry champions Citizens of Soil and ethical, Hackney-based distillery 58&CO, a residency at 26 Grains, Neal’s Yard and a pop-up at Islington’s new neighbourhood club LOOM.

Follow Palm Greens for updates on events and get in touch with them if you’re looking to bring your event to life with beautiful, vibrant food or fresh and alternative festive menu ideas
