Who's Cooking Dinner 2023
This year we were honoured to be once again helping Leukaemia UK with their flagship annual fundraising event Who’s Cooking Dinner? which was set up by Peter Gordon and Chris Corbin in 1999.
Returning to The Dorchester on Monday 18 September, the crème de la crème of British chefs came together to create a special four-course dinner for guests who didn’t know who would be cooking their dinner until the evening itself.
This year’s starry line-up included the likes of Tom Kerridge (The Hand & Flowers), and Mark Hix (The Groucho Club) Elliott Grover (The Cut 45, Park Lane), as well as head chefs from restaurants including Alain Ducasse and The Grill at The Dorchester, The Fat Duck, L’Enclume, BiBi, and more.
Supporting on social comms ahead of the event to create community amongst the participating chefs and restaurants and some excitement amongst lucky attendees, we gathered anecdotes and details to add more depth and flavour to the chefs stories.
As a part of our fact finding, we had the pleasure of meeting some of these talents, filming them in their restaurants and in their own kitchens. One of our most memorable catch-ups was with Andrew Yeo, Global Corporate Executive Chef at Hakkasan who showed us around his huge Mayfair kitchen and treated us to some signature dishes of duck and dim sum.
We loved chatting to him about his upbringing and influencers, friendship with Sameer Taneja of Benares and his essential piece of home kitchen equipment… a Ninja air fryer!
We had a fantastic time capturing all the action from behind the scenes, as well as some of the delicious dishes - and seeing these legendary chefs and their teams do their thing on the night!
Fundraising never tasted so good!
