Jubilant Jubilee Content

With the four-day Jubilee bank holiday weekend around the corner, we’re keeping a keen eye on how hospitality brands are using Instagram to attract attention for their celebratory menus, opening hours and experiences.

These examples show that it’s possible to acknowledge Jubilee fervour without being twee, traditional or cliché. See Rules’ beautifully lit bunting and The Langham’s cute Corgi enjoying afternoon tea. On the flip-side – there are venues who’ve decided to embrace it with lashings of irony and red, white and blue.

Whether you’re having a right Royal knees-up or offering a more low-key way for people to celebrate it’s not too late to join the party. Last minute plans are made, and people take leisurely strolls with the intention of finding somewhere to eat and drink. Often the first place they will check is Instagram for inspiration.

A big mistake many establishments make, is waiting until the weekend itself to capture and post time sensitive content. When service gets busy and you’re short-staffed, updating Insta will the last thing on your mind.

So, schedule some posts in advance, photograph your bank holiday menu, recruit some photogenic models sipping cocktails in your outside space or show-off your Jubilee decks, even if it’s with your tongue firmly in cheek!
